OMG You ruined that old house. The family with 8 children. You tore out all the columns and ruined the kitchen. Why would someone buy a house and then tear everything out that made it a craftsman house. My husband and I bought a house that was built in 1911 in Portland Oregon. There were pocket doors between the living room and dining room. There weere columns between the living room and entry hall It had a plate rail and window bench in the dining room. My husband took two weeks off of work and refinished all the wood. We bougth the home in 1961 and sold it in 1968.
