Barbie is a delightful movie that sets out to acheive what it wanted to - unfortunately there a great deal of people who have misunderstood this movie and its themes. Visually Barbie is perfect, the set design and costume portray a bright, bully world in which Barbie and Ken live. The general themes of Barbie are also put across perfectly, a film not about hating all men but rather a film showing you can believe in yourself and acheive what you want in life without the approval of the other sex. Towards the end of the movie Barbieland aspires to be a place in which everyone can live their dream without the oppression of the patriarchy. It is therefore a shame that people are reviewing this movie 1 star because they have misunderstood. The movie as a whole is truthful and a good message to every individual, I beleive Greta Gerwig did a great job at representing the struggles women face every day without making it an in-your-face movie about how all men are bad. Unfortunately though, most people cannot face the truth. Overall for me this movie is a 5 star. I cannot redact a star (as I was initially going to do) because unintelligent people miss the point of the whole movie. A great movie that I beleive everyone of every sex and policatal affiliation should see.

Oppenheimer is a gripping film which sadly seems to be being review bombed (no pun intended) by the impatient and uninitiated. Those expecting a marvel style action movie feel let down by the runtime and pacing of the movie which is not a problem and is actually paced very well. There was not a time during its near 3 hour runtime that I wasn't fully invested in the 'characters' and the goings on. There are also the people reviewing it badly because on the face of it Oppenheimer was just the man that killed over 100000 people with his invention and therefore we should not hail him as a hero. Unfortunately for these individuals if they actually watched the movie they would realise the mental toll developing the bomb took on Oppenheimer and the backlash he got for doing so. He was a physicist in search of creating something great and ending war all together but unfortunately the power hungry politicians of the world would rather use it for destruction and power; this is not Oppenheimers fault. Overall Nolan did a great job of portraying the political anarchy of the scientific scene at the time and created an immense depiction of the atomic bomb. Anyone remotely interested in WW2, Oppenheimer, politics or even just beautiful cinematography should watch this movie.
