This movie reminded me of my innocence age.
An innocence of a boy of 8 or 9 years old and his friendship with a same age boy ...
I am 53 now.
A bonding broken by the social norms because my friend was a household help , not that i was from a rich family ...i was the 1st born generation of the refugees who came from Pakistan in 1947 .. however hiprocracy and insecurities of tribes always lasts .
This boy was a round face , with short height , short arms ., big fore head and had real big round eyes and a choti on his head .. he mostly wore a white dhoti and white short sleeve Kurta . That is why we all called him ..Pandit ji
I never asked his real name , however i think he knew my name. I wish i knew his name and his native village address ...that way i could hv thanked him to be my friend at a time when i had no other friend .
I still remember .. since I would win all the sports we played .. he always stood behind me to be by me and to hold the prizes i would win. He never ever asked any of the prizes i won . He wanted nothing from me in return except for my friendship . What a lovely friend he was of mine .
This movie is par excellence.
Dear makers and performers,
I Ioved the way of the treatment given to the detailing of characters and dialogues.
Emotional for me were running high while watching the movie .
The signature scene in the register at the hotel reception is real and i loved that . That scene showed me that , what would follow thereafter in the movie would be truthful .
I did not find the movie slow paced as some viwers here think .
In fact , i wish this movie could hv had more frames and a bit longer .
Pls excuse me for adding my own story in the review . My sincere opologies to all ... the performances were so real that I became a part of it .
For , what u hv done is remarkable .. a work of intelligence and simplicity and humbleness.
With my best wishes and love for more to come from ur team.
