I really did have doubts about Zac Effron being the face of a show like this. I expected it to be either super edited and or pretentious... however his journey with Darren and the crew was phenomenally documented without it feeling overly doctored and real. Yes, the show is riddled with product placement but it is a production. Yes, there are moments when I wish there was more content with true natives of the places they visited. Yet all in all the show is filled with lives, perspectives and, concepts that inspire change in the world through the eyes of a jaded white celebrity who is taking the steps to acknowledge his privilege and strive to educate and inspire change in the world. I truly do hope this becomes a running series on Netflix.
