I just watched this movie on Netflix and felt really bad that I dint go to the theater previously. All because of the reviews that I read from some insensible ppl. I am not going to completely rely on reviews again. Yet, I feel its really important give this movie the respect that it deserved... and so this review!
Talking about Laal Singh, it was such a deep Movie, with so many special moments. Some made you laugh, some bought tears... tears even when u actually wanted to smile.
This movie is a hope for dimwitted ppl. Not everyone in this world can be same. Everyone has their own speciality that needs to be digged out... this is demonstrated so beautifully. Also, how his mother teaches him those values.. great dialogues there.. She taught him not to Pray coz God is within. And Pray karne se malaria failta hai.. so deep!
I loved the way his life's timeline was matched with important events in India. Sort of revision of our history. Also, real pictures made it even believable. My son asked me if there really was a man called Laal Singh Chaddha.
And how that Pakistani person turned out after getting pure unconditional love from this man. It bought goosebumps when he said that he wants to open a school in his home country to teach what they are not teaching otherwise..
Bala's Chaddi Banyan stories made my son laugh like anything.
Overall... its really a good movie that is filled with emotions, teachings, great cinematography and wonderful characters. Must watch.
