I'm conflicted when it comes to this anime. I love the death/gore and more than half the characters interested me, but the deaths were predictable due to either the episode title or the character background that usually is followed by the death of said character. I had such high hopes, but the most frustrating thing about the series was the Rat's wish... I can't explain how angry I got after watching the characters I cared about get slaughtered for that dumb wish. How was that fair? He could have wished for a million wishes and brought a few of the good competitors back. Nothing was off the table, but he chose to forget it all? I was disappointed that there wasn't a backstory for the Rabbit, who was one of my favorites. Overall, I've binged watched it a few times when I'm performing mindless household tasks...so I still enjoy it, I just wish they took their time to really develop the story/characters. That ending was a punch in the face though.
