what a terrific throwback to the small intimate relationship dramas for which british cinema has always been noted. tilda swinton's daughter is wonderful as a young woman of 25 trying to find herself in her wished for career of being a filmmaker and in a relationship with a man who is a user of people and substances. her performance is so subtly sweet that one can imagine how proud tilda must be. tilda plays her mother in the film. the writing is exquisite. applause to joanne hogg the writer/director.
