An abomination. Robbed Asimov. Built a story from the characters. This is not Asimov's Foundation. It's a soap opera set in Asimov's storyline. Unable to comprehend psychohistory, they wrote garbage about characters and their selfish lives. It's lame and disappointing. I'm sorry to have seen it, as it is an insult to Isaac Asimov's genius. Foundation is about psychohistory, the phenomena that with large populations, the events are predictable. But the AppleTV producers didn't want to make that story, they wanted to make what sells to the average viewer, a story about individuals who are special. Because viewers all want to be special. In a world of billions of people, the selfish ones who want to be special (but aren't) seek validation by consuming picture stories based on people who are special. In Foundation, Salvor Hardin was an incidental actor. But in AppleTv Foundation, the character is more important than the story. This series is trash. If you've never read Foundation Trilogy, I suggest you get a copy and read it. It's rewarding to read, and you'll probably read other Asimov stories as well.

From before my time, this movie is introspective of people, behind their public face, the balancing act of private desire, need for fulfillment, and marching on. A yuppie couple at their beginning peels the labels back and learns life lessons from their interacting with an established middle age couple's dynamic and rocky relationship. A fascinating 4 person play brought to film.
