Amazing faithfulness to the spirit of the comics... then why only 3 stars? For the unnecessary waste of inserted modern characters with modern sensibilities. It feels clumsy and out of place. The character does not match Goscinny and Udderzo's world at all, sitting like a sore thumb with a silly arc and a "we'll-make-you-care-about-what-we-care-about" worldview. forced and contrived.
Everything with the original characters was done with immense love and respect though.
