Really good, definitely some plot gaps but overall well made

Really realistic animation and overall story was great. To those commenting on the mention of the mensural cycle & puberty really need to stop living in an alternate reality where kids don’t experience them. Young people and woman get periods plain and simple, and everyone hits puberty. It’s really weird that it isn’t mentioned more in movies considering almost all woman go through it, and everyone experiences puberty. Aside from that I think the film did a good job at showing people aren’t perfect, including the adults in the movie. It’s refreshing to see movies like this and encanto empowering kids to own who they are. The one thing I disliked about the movie was the first few scenes. I understand they were going for anime style cutscenes but it just came across as confusing and all over the place. Especially since it was in the beginning of the movie where context is limited. 4/5 for me
