The Dog is the best actor in this movie, and a scene stealer. To me, background action scenes were needed to develop character interactions between the Dog and his deceased handler, and also between the deceased handler and the lead Tatum. Instead, the film used photos, a less expensive way and less effective way of character development. Even the scene with Tatum and his family is hidden from view. Now you see them, now you don't. From other reviews, I think I need to see this film again to see what others saw that I didn't. But, as of now, my husband and I were disappointed, except for watching the Dog.
