Was very excited for the show but do not recommend it. Many shows that take an alternate timeline still maintain the heart of what makes it what it is and the creators here did not do that, they've essentially abandoned all that made Halo what it was and feel like im watching just another syfy show with a popular title. There are essential things that made the spartans who they were and a big thing is that SPOILER ALERT!!! In the story Halsey against other opinions makes the hard choice to tell the spartans they were abducted while they were still children and that they will adapt or wont, but they do adapt and move on. In the show it is a major point that they were never told and causes contention. END SPOILER. But that is just one example. This isnt just a "silver timeline" this is something different entirely. No characters have the same personality, missing cgi or just cheap cgi, cities are renamed, covenent are different and weird sex. If you are a Halo fan stay clear and if you are a new viewer know that even if you like the show, its not Halo at all and if you are a new Halo fan i encourage you to read the books and/or play the games, there is a really amazing story of humanity underneath all of this show.
