Terrible and dated movie with excellent cast wasted on bloated story delivered with musical conventions - had the producers not seen “High Noon”, “Shane” or “The Gunfighter” - Huston must have been drunk throughout production!

Terrible and disastrous - a cliched and impenetrable (or hideously simple “look” at a complicated subject - if object was not to worry about why the civil war, film succeeded. That the event itself is brutal and animalistic is self-evident and no need for a film; ponderous or not - a waste!(of everything)
