I read this with my book club and yes, the story is beautiful, sad, touching, educational and inspirational. However, not one reader liked the jumping back and forth in time, especially those who listened to the book as there was no chapter heading to indicate the timeline. The second issue was that no one who read a hard copy realized there was a glossary in the bank of the book until after they read it, which is necessary for those who are unfamiliar with Indian culture and language. Those who listened to it were just as clueless during the reading and frustrated at the inability to picture what the author was telling in the story. It was a difficult read for all of us.
