I had high hopes after enjoying the first Deadpool movies, but this one just didn’t deliver. The storyline felt almost non-existent, turning the film into a non-stop cycle of slashing and shooting. Sure, there were some jokes and pop culture references, but if you’re not up to date with every detail of the MCU, a lot of the humor will likely fall flat.
The constant fourth wall breaking, which was once clever, now feels overdone and repetitive—especially when it’s just endless talk about Disney and Fox. The movie’s saving grace was supposed to be its action and wit, but even those were underwhelming. The fight scenes lacked variety, the CGI was disappointing, and there was no real tension since the characters just heal instantly, making the violence feel pointless—like hitting “respawn” in a video game.
If you’re just looking to kill some time and don’t mind a mix of blood and crude humor, it’s a decent enough watch. But if you were expecting something that would really blow you away, you’re more likely to be left feeling like you’ve been hit with a lukewarm breeze of missed potential.
