A surreal picture and a poignant collection of songs tugged at my heart strings when I watched the movie, A Love Song. Love, self-sufficiency, nostalgia are the emotions that 'A Love Song', evokes in it's viewers. Every aspect of the movie is woven with care so that I was drawn and captivated till the closing screen. The elements like the old radio, the country music of the 60s will take the viewers back in time. And it made me smile when the protagonist tells her friend, 'just turn the radio knob, it has the perfect song for every moment'. The main theme of the movie is the beauty of love, friendship and childhood memories. The line, 'we will be alright', is so bittersweet, conveying to the viewers that life is not about a forever but it is about the moments that turn into beautiful memories that one can recall and laugh with friends. Picturesque cinematographycinematography, well crafted dialogues and beautiful melodies makes the movie, 'a warm hug on a cold winter night', which viewers will remember and smile, long after it's over.
