I just reread the book before traveling to New Orleans this past week. Anne Rice is a masterful storyteller and she weaves a tale so complex and engrossing that it’s hard to put it down. This series has none of that. The story line is VERY loosely based on the book and has no depth in plot or character development. Very confusing and disappointing.
