Having watched 1883 & thoroughly enjoyed it I looked forward to 1923. I'm midway through Series 1 & in general am enjoying it (though not as much as 1883). However i am beginning to find the Spencer Alex relationship cringeworthy & in particular the accent & voice of Alex. Perhaps I am the only one but I found myself forwarding through these parts of the drama. I am finding the acting of Aminah Nieves superb.

Aside from some strange dancing by Ed Harris I can't think of a reason to recommend this film. I barely managed to see it though to the end and felt disappointed & irritated by it most of the way through. I found both portrayals of the main character to be thoroughly unlikeable, in fact noone in the film was remotely likeable. Over-rated in most reviews I'd give this a miss !

I found this film very provoking & I highly recommend it.
