I absolutely loved this movie!! I love how it explains many things from how BJ dies, his ex wife, and how they didn’t need “Charles Deetz” to reprise his “role.” I loved everything about it. I just finished it and want to see it again.

This movie did NOT meet my expectations. If they wanted to cast a black Ariel, whatever. I was against it at first because, well, how would we feel about a white Tiana. Anyhow, I do believe Halle Bailey did resemble her but what happened to Ariel’s iconic red hair? Then Triton, looking all Hispanic, with 7 different daughters like he had an affair in all 7 seas. Flounder and Sebastian looked like characters from a horror movie. Scuttle is now a female, or non binary, which who knows now with Disney. Eric was perfectly cast, but now he has a mom and he’s adopted? The new songs were cringy af, especially Eric and the one Scuttle sang. I thing Melissa as Ursula was fine and Vanessa was PERFECTLY cast. The acting and CGI was horrible. The movie had no real color and it was completely emotionless. The movie looked and felt almost as though it was rushed or Disney just “had to put something together.” They made it very Caribbean type which that was whatever. I was so not feeling it. My tween daughters felt the same.
