Extremely engaging. If Chiwetel Ejiofor is in it, I know it will be good, but I don’t know if I want to see it. Everyone should see this. As a continuation of the novel written by Walter Tevis (1963). My wife read the book while we watched the show and she said one does not really give the other away. I am curious to see the David Bowie adaptation of the novel, but it doesn’t look great from what I’ve seen.

First off, I don’t watch anime except with my son. It is a bonding activity. That said, this is our favorite series we have seen together so far. All the demons are based on a specific past trauma and it is fascinating to see how the details of that trauma effect the demon later on. The show overall seems to be an allegory of the emotional scarring that affect behavior and how that behavior does not have to be accepted even if the trail of trauma is verified.

This is a very silly, fun movie with an amazing soundtrack. My toddler has chosen this as the movie of our lives for the past two months or so. I have seen it so many times I could lead an analytical discussion based on a number of different points of the film. I have seen it so many times I have formed strong opinions of it. It is much better than the first movie in the franchise. The Buster Moon character comes off as slimy and unlikable in the first, but warm and caring in the second. The voices of all performers are amazing. What makes it more sufferable when compared to other movies my toddler has chosen is the music is just so good.

Absolutely mind-bending. No current compares to this show. My wife and I anxiously await another season. The cast is perfect. I believe everything they do. There is no point where I am thrown out of this immersive viewing experience—which is so easy with lazy writing or insufficient research on the premise. The proper amount of care is put into every detail. It will elicit a strong emotional response. The pace is absolutely on point. The right speed to keep you engaged and still never give you too much.

Unwatchable. I tried. I wanted to like it. I lowered my expectations and went in with the attitude of enjoying a silly movie and having a silly laugh. I did not make it through the first episode. First of all, the jokes not only didn’t land, they couldn’t find the runway. They may be lost at sea. I don’t know. The premise for the jokes was not plausible. The jokes bank on cheap laughs from a grossly uninformed audience. Secondly, It is the caliber of writing I expect from my 12 year old. And even then, we would have to sit down and talk about what believable writing requires and how to establish expectations and then subvert those expectations for comedy. I presume everyone involved either lost a bet or is in an insane amount of debt.
