One of the best movies of the entire 2000s. Brilliant writing. Masterful performances. I couldn't possibly write a review of it in detail that didn't turn in to an entire dissertation about the greatness of every aspect of this film. Every role, from the 3 main leads, to the supporting characters such as Jason Lee, Frances Mcdormand, Fairuza Balk, even to the tiniest of parts, such as Jay Baruchel's, Mitch Hedberg's & Jimmy Fallon's, & every one inbetween, are ALL absolutely "incendiary."

A fun, campy 1980 musical roller skating fantasy film, packed with talented dancers, musicians, and actors. Xanadu enjoys itself & has a great time presenting amazing music, wonderful choreography, and innovative cinematography. It's not a movie you watch for the plot, but for the music, dancing, skating, & the beautiful, fantastical imagery. It's kind of like an extended artistic music video, but with several songs & a fun plot. It was well before my time, but I was introduced at a very young age & instantly fell head over heels in love & still am to this day. Olivia Newton John is just stunning in the role. Her singing, dancing, skating, & acting are superb, & late 70s/early 80's looks suit her perfectly. ELO is exceptional, as always & Gene Kelly reminds you why he is, & always will be, legendary!💕

Worst movie EVER. This is one of those movies you HAVE to watch, not because it is a good movie, but because it is so unironically bad. You literally can't imagine how awful it is unless you watch it. The 2 main actresses & the main guy that isn't Shane were really good actors. It's too bad they didn't get a chance to shine the way they deserved. Shane casting himself was one of many unfortunate choices. He is stiff, obviously uncomfortable & just a bad actor. The movie is unnecessarily raunchy & painfully unfunny. I'm no prude. Raunchy jokes can be funny, but in this movie that is never the case. Get some friends together, pop some corn & get ready to laugh for all the wrong reasons.
