Late to the party I guess but I tried this after watching the brilliant UK version and wanting more. Didn't matter that I'd only heard of one of the comedians (Sam), but it was a tough watch. It lacked any subtlety entirely. Did they really think they could make each other laugh with those desperate attempts at comedy? There aren't enough adjectives for how bad this is. I'm sure they are great comedians in their own right but this combination and format - for them at least - was awful, just awful. Try the far superior British one.

Anyone who managed to sit through six episodes of this deserves a medal, because they were definitely the last one laughing. I like a couple of the comedians but this show was a display of desperation. The excellent UK version is far more subtle and natural and puts this one to shame. The only thing going for this is that it's not quite as bad as the Australian one. It really is dreadful.

I'm a big fan of Popmaster on the radio but the transition to telly just didn't seem to work. I can't put my finger on what it was that made it so dull but maybe it was a combination of things - lack of "peril/passion", poor prizes (no one-year-out tee shirt for the loser?), flat presentation, length of programme. It seemed the contestants didn't really care about winning and that spilled over to the audience. Maybe it would work better as a shorter daytime quiz, or with celebrity contestants, but for me several aspects need to be improved if it comes back for a 2nd series...
