Stars for the returning cast! Great actors with a rushed storyline and mediocre script. Too much of Patrick Wilson. His first time directing, he’s got so many lines, He’s even featuring in a song with Ghost in the ending credits song. Seems like we’re getting a reintroduction to Ty Simpkins as an actor. And he’s talented and easy on the eyes. The scenes lacked that “insidious” behavior from the characters to create that sort of Blumhouse and James Wan movie that we’re used to. Rarely a silent scene. A few decent jump scares but costume design and set design was nothing memorable for other than the cemetery scene, the art room and the red door. Music was on point as usual but there was too much of it. The potential was there and I hate that I’m disappointed. Still a fan but definitely my least favorite of the 5.
