Originally, I had to read this book for a school reading assignment, we chose the books, I picked this one as the cover peaked my interest. The name Osamu Dazai was one I was familiar with as well since I watch Bungou Stray Dogs, so that was a plus. The book at first was a bit confusing but as I read more, the book began to feel more natural and I felt deeply connected with the book. The book itself is beautifully written, and while the themes of the book are dark, it has a sort of comforting tone. However, if you're reading or thinking of it, I would recommend a box of tissues, snacks, and a comfort object or blanket. Anyways, 10/10, would cry too again.
