Julia Garner’s accent in this series is bizarre. While she did a great job with her character in Ozark, her performance in Inventing Anna is greatly lacking. The character is supposed to be of Russian/German heritage, yet her accent in Inventing Anna goes in and out of Scottish/British/Appalachian. Rarely does she even come close to a German or Russian accent.
