Dreamlight Valley is a delightful game. There is no rush to complete any quests.
There is a premium shop where you can purchase items, these cost moonstones.
They have a star path which has exclusive items for a limited time.
You can decorate your valley and inside your house, garden, mine, harvest, fish, dress up and enter the world of stories with your villagers while doing quests. There is a multiplayer mood where you can invite other players to your valley.
You can purchase expansion packs such as Eternity Isle and Storybook Vale
They do add a lot of updates.
Now to the negatives…..
When purchasing the expansion packs, it comes with so many bugs that the developers still have not resolved after many reviews and comments. I personally think it’s not worth the extra $40-$80. You spend so much money on this game just for it to crash.
With the moonstones, you can only receive by entering snapshot challenges, finding a blue chest that literally gives you 50m everytime, or a star path that literally costs moonstones to access….So really if you want anything from the premium shop or the star path, you have to spend more money just to get moonstones….
There are many quests I actually can not complete due to the game crashing. I can not get Timone and Pomba due to Simbas dreamlight quest won’t let me water flowers. I can’t feed any turtles as they won’t come out of their shells. When hanging out with villages they tend to stop following me, freeze in a corner, then all the materials just get thrown at me at in one go. Inside Scrooges shop, no wallpapers are showing.
Please take in what the community is trying to tell you. You listen to the suggestions people give you, but please we need the bugs and crashing to be fixed first. It’s frustrating, people are losing save data, losing interest in the game cause they generally can not play it.
Also if you have switch, you have very limited object limit when decorating, only get 3000.
