Watched S1-S8 for the first time last week. Was hooked on the show, the characters and the murder mysteries. Loved Dexter and his quirkiness. Had high hopes for New Blood but was extremely disappointed with the boring predictable plot, flat characters, and rushed storyline. I was bored for many of the episodes. Everything was just so easy for Angela to figure out (she couldn't figure out 25 girls missing but figures out Dexter in one episode), Harrison was just an angry teen kid who somehow remembers his mothers killing, Deb was even more annoying (miss Harry), and the first rule of the code went out the door. Seemed like it was written for a younger demographic than the original with too much teen drama. I will definitely rewatch S1-S8 and forget all about New Blood.
