I've been a fan of the original movie so watching the story retold as a TV series was interesting. Pros -Eddie Redmayne is simply brilliant in the role, and the Bond-like movie locations and sub-plots were nicely done. Cons -That said the casting isn't great -esp Bianca was disappointing. Her transition from a behind the desk analyst to a special ops fighter, and her ability to always guess the right answer to read the Jackal's moves was hardly convincing. The script (esp the last 2-3 episodes) was convoluted. The jackal blew his cover more than once and miraculously got away without explaining how -perhaps the makers weren't sure whether they wanted to end it or keep it open for another season.
