Too many plotlines to really enjoy a movie about the building of relationships in a large family with diverse personalities and backgrounds. The character of Meredith is a little too extreme to be believable. She is quirky+ and prudish at the start. Honestly, she seems like a person with a personality disorder, but the movie could have gone further helping her assimilate into the family rather than setting her up to be ostracized. It's an all-star cast, but they're not used well because of all the plotlines. Focusing more on the relationships rather than the awkwardness would have helped this Christmas movie be magical as opposed to forgettable.
