This album is one of my favourites of all time, the songs are so witty lyrically and they sound absolutely amazing, all the bass riffs are powerful and the synths are just amazing, the guitar doesn’t have that much complexity but it’s perfect for an album like this, this album seems to deal with James Murphy sarcastic and ironic outlook on a midlife crisis of sorts, with the sound being very snappy and young but the lyrics are quite introspective.
This album has a very good sound variety, going between dance punk, indie synths, and even some dance rock at parts. Love it.
