It felt like it couldn’t commit to a genre or storyline with underwritten characters and a meandering plot, with inadequate pacing. I found myself not particularly invested in any of the major characters and found the ending pretty unsatisfying, depressing and over the top. Although really well acted this is a film that rests too much on beautiful sets (which I loved) and too little on the writing.
