Everything about this game was perfection. The driving was nice and bouncy with cars feeling hefty, crunching well. Weapons and pickups were balanced beautifully. The joy of getting a spanner just before your friend hit you with a "Bass Quake" was magical. Activision, this game needs a remaster on current gen consoles!

Without doubt the greatest car combat game ever created. A seminal work that defined the genre. Every design element evokes the alternate history 70's theme, effortlessly drawing you into the world. From maps on burger bags to repairs on a maintenance request form handed into "Skeeter" at the end of each mission. Visually, the game holds up well with artful use of very low polygon counts to paint the sparse landscapes of “somewhere in the south west”. Play it if you can. And Activision, why the heck are we not getting a remake on current gen consoles and PC. This beautiful game is crying out to be remastered!
