Saw at a AMC screen unseen. Me and my boyfriend went to go together for a movie date, and we were sorely disappointed.
Let me start by saying a disclaimer: I have never done this before, but halfway through the film we walked out and could not finish watching it, so I cannot honestly say that the movie as a whole was bad since I was not there to watch all of it. I will review what I did watch though.
My first thought when entering the film was how predictable it was. I was honestly ready to hear a line like, “He’s right behind me, isn’t he?” On top of that the line delivery was just bad.
A thought that comes to mind regarding this film “if a Disney channel movie decided to be edgy and adult.” The acting, was mediocre at best, story like it was written by a high schooler with a dream, and characters that were forgettable.
Gun to my head I could not tell you the names of these characters or why I should care about them.
All in all, I did not have any expectations coming into the film because it was a mystery, and I had never heard about this beforehand either so I went in with no context and hoping to watch at least a digestible film.
I do give it an extra point for interesting camera angles, and concept, but overall it was not a great execution.
Im glad I left and had a pizza date instead.
