A Cheap Shot Masquerading as a Spy Thriller
So I did leave a long review but for some reason Google didn't like it so heres my shorter version
The Night Agent kicks off with promise: a government thriller, undercover missions, and moral dilemmas. But as things unfold, the tension gets tangled in formula. Peter Sutherland’s character holds weight, yet the supporting cast, namely Rose - often feels ten steps ahead of the curve.
Season 2 doubles down on high-stakes drama but slips further from realism. It’s not that the plot lacks momentum, it’s that the execution leans too hard on convenience and overlooks logic.
Fun in parts, frustrating in others. You’re left debating whether to admire its ambition or quietly move on.
