A Cheap Shot Masquerading as a Spy Thriller So I did leave a long review but for some reason Google didn't like it so heres my shorter version The Night Agent kicks off with promise: a government thriller, undercover missions, and moral dilemmas. But as things unfold, the tension gets tangled in formula. Peter Sutherland’s character holds weight, yet the supporting cast, namely Rose - often feels ten steps ahead of the curve. Season 2 doubles down on high-stakes drama but slips further from realism. It’s not that the plot lacks momentum, it’s that the execution leans too hard on convenience and overlooks logic. Fun in parts, frustrating in others. You’re left debating whether to admire its ambition or quietly move on.

I haven't quite got to the last episode of North Shore, but if I be honest, I'm only watching it because I started it and just want to see if it gets any worse than it already is. The acting in this series is so bad and Joanne Froggat's role as Abigail Crawford, Home Secretary is about as convincing as President Clinton telling the world he had no relationship with Monica Lewinsky! In the series Abigail's daughter is murdered. She travels to Australia to find her daughters murderer and by the next day she is working, then going off for casual lunches and all this whilst the investigation is going on! She also finds the time to have an affair with an old flame while she is grieving. The whole plot is just so badly written. The only two worth watching in this series were the detectives, however the typical hate relationship in the beginning that turns to a mutual respect, has been done more times than I care to remember. I'm just wondering why it is being aired on Netflix? Either way, really bad acting and terrilbe storyline.
