I like the show. I do think that Olivia is very manipulative. I feel like she has treated Ethan like he was a fun toy she was saving when she first met him introducing him to so many new things. He left his family and gave up all he loved for her. She pushed that. It was not unreasonable for Ethans parents to ask them to respect their culture and family rules. Olivia wanted to tread on their values and tear down all they built for their family. When and if her and Ethan have kids it would be no different if Kim came into her home and tried to instill her values on their children. It is all respect. You can have relationships with all people but should never interfere with the family structure and the families values. If Olivia loves Ethan she will realize this and help mend the fences to bring this family back together. I don’t see it happening thou as Olivia does not seem to have the maturity or the selflessness. Two key things needed for a successful marriage.
