I thought the book had a good premise and was incredibly well written. However at times I struggled to get through it and how much it diverged from the plot and went on seemingly insignificant tangents about an old greek neighbour and various other things. I also thought certain things were left unexplored, but I suppose that may be as the book is written from a standpoint of an unreliable narrator, who had bias and is not able to acquire all the information that they wanted. Overall it is a good read and you really feel like you went through that year with the Lisbon girls and really got to know them as much as you could from an outside perspective but I wouldn’t say it is something that everyone must read once.
