Remember when Netflix made a new Masters of The Universe series, with a trailer that was non-stop He-Man...and then they axed He-Man in the first episode and made it "The Ti-La Show?" Sure, we all do. Remember how everyone just LOVED that they did that, because because fans of He-Man...hated seeing He-Man? No? Me either. And yet, it doesn't really look like they learned a damned thing, because here we are again. Richter Belmont - the hero of the source material - is writtend as barely competent while the female leads get all the glory. They could have just created a NEW IP about female vampire hunters, and no one would have said anything. But they HAD to shoe-horn it into an adaptation of Rondo of Blood. In short, it's another Netflix animated bait-and-switch, and I for one am sick of it.

Remember when Game of Thrones reached the end of the books, and the TV writers were like "feh, we'll just write our OWN stories. I'm sure they'll be as good as the books we've been adapting so successfully, how hard could it be?" Remember how "good" those last episodes were? That's what this is. Instead of adapting books from a master author, written for lovers of active adventure fantasy books, it's a team of streaming TV writers coming up with their own stories to appeal to the popular trendy kids. How anyone thought those two things would fit together well is beyond me.
