It was just okay. Doesn't make sense that Hakeem was drugged by Semmi, and he only recalls it 30 years later.
What would have made more sense would have been to have Hakeem marry a second-fourth wife with the hopes of actually producing a male heir to the throne ( this is actually what happens in Africa). Lisa ends up leaving Hakeem because of this ridiculous tradition of "male heir", goes back to Queens with her daughters who now tries to adapt to being a normal child in Queens. Hakeem comes back to find them, and they do in vitro or whatever is done these . to "select a male child," for Lisa to birth.
The cameos were nice (salt and peppa... Gladys Knight, etc). I loved seeing most of the crew back together.
As a diehard fan of the original, truly disappointed.
I didn't really laugh in the movie, just a few chuckles here there.
