Melanie Griffith is great, and Michael Cudlitz does a better than convincing job in a drama that nonetheless feels like it plods on. The overall experience is toxic, as the movie asks the viewer to wallow in depravity and transphobic clichés. A damaging waste of precious talent, and a waste of this viewer's time.
