This documentary is accurate, sensitive, revealing, and very important for all Americans to see. It covers many stories of racism for the entire country. It reveals laws that were created to perpetuate racism. Great for students in upper elementary schools for them to see and hear historical America. This is a very important film to be used by English Teachers before they teach such classics as novels by Lorraine Hansberry, Zora Neale Hurston, or Chinua Achebe just to name a few. This is also an important film for Social Science & Humanities Teachers to show as they teach about American Culture, African American Culture, and Law. This film is also great to be shown during African American History Month. This could also be shown to students in the beginning of the school year to have an open discussion about race with students. Amazing documentary that I must watch again in order to develop a worksheet for my students in the Fall.
