I could watch only three episodes of the first season before I decided I hated this show. It caught my attention because of John Goodman and the potential of taking on huge evangelical churches. What a beautiful opportunity! Unfortunately, this show took it beyond the ridiculous and quickly became absurd and unbelievable. I tried real hard to find something to like about any of the characters. What a waste of my time and their talent. Booooo! After reading all the favorable reviews, I've come to the conclusion that it's simply not my kind of funny. Perhaps because, as one other reviewer noted, there's not enough John Goodman in it.
