I'm not much of an avid reader, however I will randomly read a novel here and there and this one came up in my random searches to pick up. I got it from Amazon as a suggestion in my feed and must say I couldn't have been more pleased. It's difficult to find any decent horror books and I feel this one really nailed it. Psychological horror is actually my favorite and that is this book. I feel the character development was very well done, I really felt strongly for the main character and some others and I was definitely surprised where the story went. I feel it delivered very well and I'm really surprised there aren't many other reviews on this. As you see with films I think this is a rare gem to come across. It seems at the moment it is the author's only publication, which I hope changes as I would look for another book from her. There were some parts in the book that made me uncomfortable and were difficult to read through, however I think I understand why the author would put this in and sometimes I feel that making such decisions to put such things in or not really play a role in the experiences you get from a story and I feel this author really did put so much into this that I can't say there wasn't too many negatives I would be able to put on this. I would highly recommend it to other fans in the horror genre, I feel this also fits suspense and thriller categories as well. It is very unique and interesting.
