Hello. When you decide to watch this movie, do so with no one to interrupt you. If possible, read a bit before on the cultural and historical importance of the Brazilian Nordeste. The pace of the narrative borrows from the way of life where poverty, privilege by the VERY few, and brutality are as real and cyclical as the heat. Forget the review of the teens here. This is not a movie about car explosions or sensory overload. This is what real life was, and perhaps still is, in one of the poorest regions in the world, and about our dreams and how one can break away from oppressive molds, even if only momentarily.
