Overall, visually the movie looked stunning and had a few good fight scenes. However, Superman lacked character development and spent a lot of the movie trying to find his cousins super dog. Also, trying to throw in his “clone” fell flat. Lastly, his humanity speech was sub par as he didn’t show much to earn that speech, then having the super dog attack Luthor in the middle of his speech undermines his stance as a villain for comedic effect. Cornsweets Superman falls flat where the previous one excelled, hopefully there is more character development and the next movies redeem this one - not a great first entry for the reboot. Also, major plot hole- his parents telling him it rule over and enslave humans - not superman at all!
