As expected, a shallow representation of a deeply psychological and accurate depiction of humanity of the original manga.
Granted it's extremely unrealistic to expect any less disaster in only 2 hours of playtime, though there must not be a real life adaptation in the first place if you can't even convey the main theme to the audience, especially those that haven't read the manga beforehand.
Homunculus in itself is too controversial to bring to the big screen, so instead they've dulled down the sharp blade like edges what made the real deal so great, threw in some great actors to capture the viewers with their audition to distract from the hollow heart this version possesses, and all clashes in a great firework of disappointment for fans and newcomers alike, leaving none satisfied, not even the box office.
Just another Netflix prank ranked into the void with all the other fiction to real-life conversions.
Truly a shame to behold.
