I just finished playing The Last of Us Part II on PS5 for the second time and wow… this game is incredible. The level of immersion is unreal - from the atmosphere to the little details in the world, it really pulls you in and makes you feel like you’re living through it alongside the characters.
That said, I think people need to take a lot of the reviews floating around with a huge grain of salt. You can clearly tell many of the complaints have less to do with the game itself and more to do with people being uncomfortable with representation. Ellie being with a woman is apparently a dealbreaker for some folks, which is absurd. And the whole “Abby is transgender” claim? Come on. She’s literally just buff. Plenty of women are. Labeling her as transgender just because of her build isn’t accurate she’s simply a strong, muscular woman, which is completely normal.
If you give the game an actual chance, it speaks for itself. It’s not just a game, it’s an experience - one that’s meant to challenge you, push boundaries, and pull you into an emotional, gripping world.
Play it for yourself before forming an opinion. You might be surprised how powerful and immersive it really is.
