The gems in this book for me are some of the clean, simply sentences the author uses to describe a passerby, an unnoticed corner of a room or Jutta's hair (cumulus cloud). The author mixes poetry and prose; the former to shore up the latter that makes me want to read more. However, I don't feel it's the best novel I've ever read and though the title is compelling, I have yet to make a new connection with the notion of the invisible light that is there but we fail to see. Having said that, I may be blind to the very light that other readers/reviewers have grasped! I will finish the book to give it the chance it deserves.
