Wish I could get the time and money back. An utter waste. The cinematography and coloring were appealing at first but as the movie dragged on, it became a visual reminder of how pretentious and boring the movie actually is. My favorite moment of the movie was the line about playing through the scenes rapidly in Act 3. It gave hope that the end was near. Somehow in this disaster Wes Andsrson managed to check off the hollywood crowd's list for movie "musts": Out of nowhere man on man kissing scene - check! Leading actress nudity - check! Satirical mockery of god/religion - check! Gratuitous display of guns - check! Utterly complicated and uninteresting plot hidden behind an all-star cast - check! Hopefully I don't need to go on and can forever forget a terrible evening courtesy of Wes Anderson.
