I tried to hard ro like it. To no avail though. I just had to hang in there for a faint hope that it'll all get better. The script feels like they patched up a couple of unrelated disconnected stuff from different stories together. There is no character development. Everyone is either extremely dull or crazy. There was no room for acting. I like Josh Brolin, but even he did not get a chance to actually act. Long silences, bizarre conversations that were somehow supposed to create a sense of mystery. Remove the hole from the whole story and nothing would change. A bunch of old ranchers, a crazy girl showing out of nowhere, a disappeared woman, it would all feel the same still. The mystery element was not worked on, neither were our questions about it answered.
