Tried to develop great feelings and great involvement…. Too quickly and too desperately. I would love to see this family’s story progress thru WWI…. But this movie was not that. It was… empty undeveloped cartoon characters and hurried attempts to get to plot climaxes. Even some of the backgrounds seemed fake and hasty.
Yuck.
Throw this away, reboot, and bring back the weekly series, with good writing and attention to details.
